Linawati hold PhD majoring telecommunications engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 2004. She was an executive director of Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) for nine years, starting from 2006. At that time she involved actively developing e-learning, m-learning, and distance learning in Udayana University in collaboration with higher education institutions in Indonesia and in Asia Pacific under the World Bank support. She won research funding for the same area from Directorate General of Higher Education several times. Researches on these area have been published in International Conferences, and Journals. She chaired many workshops, focus group discussions, seminars, and trainings using information communication technology as a subject or as a supporting tool which involved wide range of professionals with many backgrounds. One of activities which has been recognized by CHMI (Center for Health Market Innovations) which is part of Bill Gates Foundation, was Partograph Blended Learning in reducing number of mortality of mother in her labor process. The short course has been run for three years in collaboration with Tokyo DLC, WHO, and Kitasato University.
She was Head of Udayana University ICT Division starting from year 2007 until end of 2014. Below is her responsibilities within three years.

Year 2015 – Now Team Member of Learning Development and Academic Quality Assurance Institution, Udayana University
